Greentree Instructor Honored
Warren County Career Center Medical Instructor Jamie Horn, of Mason, recently earned two honors from a national society for the medical profession. She was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Medical Technologists, and the President’s Award from the Ohio State Society of American Medical Technologists.
She has been a member since 1989 and received the awards for going over and beyond her duties serving on the AMT board by working on fundraisers and setting up professional development seminars and for outstanding work in her field. She instructs the Adult Education Phlebotomy Technology program and also teaches medical terminology at WCCC’s Greentree Health Science Academy.
Ms. Horn holds certifications as Registered Medical Assistant, Registered Phlebotomy Technician and as a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and Basic Life Support instructor.
